I have SSP and OVTune on 33s, with 5.29 gears coming next month. I’m getting the gears because neither has fixed the truck and I need some tow power.

That being said, I believe SSP has made the bigger difference in drivability on my 18. I would suggest you start there, it keeps the truck in the usable power band much better than OVTune.

SSP can be had for less than $200, if you don’t like it you can sell it for ~$50 loss. To be honest, you could find a used SSP for ~$120 and lose almost nothing if you don’t like it and sell it. OVTune can be had for $700+ and if you don’t like it you’ll lose $3-4 hundred getting rid of it. Gears will cost you about $2300 and are a relatively big loss if you want to get rid of them.

Where are you? If local to Virginia you could drive my truck and judge for yourself.

I agree with SSP performance increase, makes a big difference in drivability, feels like you would expect. Also I paired this with Sprint Booster (gas pedal profiler) removes the lag and improves response. Truck drives nicely and getting better gas mileage.

Turd Hawg, I’m actually in Oklahoma but I appreciate the offer. I actually went to the dealership and had them factory reset my ECU. I bought the truck with 2500 and not sure what the guys driving habits were; currently learning mine. I may get on Amazon and see about a SSP.
