    Hello!

New taco owner here. Bought a taco last weekend and noticed a small 4" diameter scuff on my door. Is it worth it going to toyota to get it buffed out or should I try taking it to a detail shop to get it fixed?

It is not a deep scratch, but you can really notice it when you're close.

    Thanks!

Did you make the scuff known and documented as you signed off for the truck? If not, it is on you. If you did have it acknowledged in writing the question wouldn't exist, would it?

Sorry that I am new to this. I did notice the scratch after I signed the papers so it is my responsibility to do something with it.

All I am asking is if it is worth it getting it fixed at the dealership or simply go to a detail shop.

Photos will be provided and thank you so much for the quick replies!

Make the dealer fix it to your satisfaction.

Edit... Your answer was vague... after you signed for it, but before you left? Or after you left? If it was after you left you are powerless with the dealer, handle it on your own.

If you didn't notice it right away, it must not be too deep. You might be able to buff it gone just using car wax/cleaner.

Check out the link in my sig. If you can run your finger nail over it without it catching on the scratch, you can buff it out.

Post up a picture if you can. If it looks like something a buffer could fix, I could help you.
