I'm looking to do a small simple lift on mt TRD/OR. I know most people don't like the idea of a small spacer lift but I have weighed the trade offs and this is what I want to do. I'm looking to do a spacer lift on the front that I can do with out replacing the top studs, I thinks it's 1/4 inch spacer and a 1/2 lift, this would suit me fine considering the cost and complexity of the install. the big question is. Can I just undo the top three nuts and lower the shock assembly just enough and slide in the space and put it back together. Or do I have to completely remove the shock assy to put the spacer in?

    Thanks

Is it worth that much effort for little to no gain?

There may be better options for what you want to accomplish

1/4 inch spacer does not require new studs... that will give you a 1/2" lift.

The 1/2 inch spacer requires new studs to be pressed in but will give you a 1" lift. Which is actually level on these trucks

Look up the bilstein 5100 install videos without a spring compressor ... you can find it here in a few threads or on YouTube ..it will show you how to access the assembly as a whole.. and you can draw to your own conclusion about how easily you can put the 1/4 inch spacer on.

That seems like it’s not worth it to go through all that hassle. Do 1”. I did 1” all the way around and I love it.
