A motorcycle doesn't have seatbelts and can't take a hit from a real car either so IMO the "they're not safe" story doesn't fly. The only person you're going to hurt is you so if you're willing to take that risk so be it.

Living in Canada I've noticed that we reap some benefits and some drawbacks from being so close to the US. Getting a Tacoma is a benefit as the rest of the world doesn't get them. The drawback is we're limited to the same vehicles that the US market has. Unfortunately that means no HiLux here either. I don't for a second believe that everybody needs a full-size 4 door GMC Denali or whatever top of the line truck that the domestic manufacturer is selling. Driving around here you'll see way more top of the line trucks than the lower models. Why, because nobody buys the lower model truck? No, because they don't build as many, simple as that!

1990 Toyota pickup 22RE easily one of the best vehicles I've owned. #1 low cost of ownership.

By the name itself a golf cart is just that, and a SXS is designed to be driven off road. Everything you mentioned is designed to be driven on the road. Maybe safety was a bad angle to look at, but these should not be on the road IMO.

I had one of those mats float up to my dock. I'm guessing it fell off a boat passing by. Can't believe how much those things cost!

Back in the day... not a day would go by without a group of ATV's, dirt bikes or snowmobiles riding the trails of my property. Today, it is rare to see anyone venture off the road in a off road/non-licensable vehicle).

My 1991 with 22RE has been a fabulous truck for the last 33 years, but it is well worn out.

Yes it could have all the necessary body work, paint and interior work, trannie rebuild, throw out bearing, etc etc

I converted the A/C from Freon to the new stuff but it doesn’t cool as well. The compressor an power steering rack are on the way out as well. Yeah, the radio is dead also.

I bought the 2023 to ensure I always have a working truck.

Maybe I got tired of it. I'm letting go of my 94 Mazda B3000, extended cab. Good little truck. Comes with the anti theft device (stick shift). It's basically a Ford Ranger but with some upgraded Mazda build. Buying my buddies, 2010 Tacoma, 4 dr cab, larger engine (for some mild towing). The Tacoma drives/handles much better.

I still stand by my point that neither a golf cart or SXS need to be driven on the road. Just like I don't ride my off road dirt bikes on the road.

You specifically pointed to the fact it was dangerous in your original bitch.
Having since back-tracked that, what your point this time?

Additionally, has anyone but you mentioned driving golf carts on the road in this thread, or do you just have a hard on for golf carts, too?

I loved my little 80's vintage Toyota pickup. Before it I had two different small pickups, both Datsun/Nissan

My little Toyota was bullet proof. I put about 150,000 miles on it before I up graded to a F150 so I could pull a travel trailer. I never warmed up to the F150. I have a 23' Off Road now and as much as I liked the 80's Toyota the only feature I miss is how easy it was to park it todays mini sized parking lots.

Didn't mean to ruffle your panties. SXS was brought up and I added golf carts. Scroll on by if you don't like it.
