    I do...

The vehicle has headlights, taillights, turn signals, hazard lights, a horn, seatbelts, windshield, rear view mirror, DOT approved Hwy use tires, the list goes on.
It's tagged, registered, and fully insured with collision, comprehensive and liability.
It can get into traffic, keep up with traffic, and stop more quickly than most any vehicle on the road.

You've back-tracked on your issue with it's crash collision safety.
Please do tell why you feel so deeply compelled to keep it off the road?

Outside of the fact they both roll on a form of tire, the similarities end there, so why throw golf carts in the mix?
    LMAO @ you..

Picked this up for my son's first vehicle. 2000 Ranger XLT w/ 4x4 only 94k miles. Great truck and it brought back a lot of memories. They were so much simpler and fun back then honestly. Also, it has about the same payload and towing capacity as most midsize trucks now. I don't think I would want to push the towing though lol.

The old Ford Ranger, older Tacoma's, older Nissan trucks....you could beat the hell out of 'em and they'd still run like tanks.
Between the three it was a coin-toss that usually ended up on which one was cheaper at the time of purchase as you would
be hard-pressed to find fault in either of them mechanically.

I still have my 2000 Ford Ranger (on the left in the picture below), which I drive daily in preference to my 2021 Tacoma (on the right). The Ranger is just easier to handle in town traffic. Lately, though, it's been having some repair issues. The front brake lines corroded, leaking brake fluid, and the local shops would have charged more to replace them than the truck was worth. So I had to do the job myself (which was not pleasant, although it saved a bunch of money). Now the same thing is happening with the power steering hoses. The Tacoma is getting more of a workout these days.

If you haven't already heard of it the Ni-Cop nickel copper brake line rolls are great to work with that I won't touch the steel BS anymore. I keep a couple of rolls hanging on the wall in the shed just in case.

I used direct replacement pre-bent lines. About $140 for the set, on ebay. The only difference from OEM was that the passenger-side line was in two pieces, since it snakes around under the engine and one piece would have been impossible to install. As I got into the job, I also found I had to replace the flexible hoses, and one of the calipers. Brakes work perfectly now, no leakage.

I always though those were good looking trucks. Looked at one when I was shopping for a new truck in 03, went with a new 1st gen instead

The government has made completely unattainable mileage requirements.Their plan is to force you to buy a politician backed EV.

I'm from Miami there was no way of getting around mini trucks and low riders, I really wanted a 2 door S10 blazer but they were to expensive for me. I worked at a dry cleaners making $4.00 an hour with a bunch of perverted old Spanish ladies. I saved $2,200 bucks walking to work to buy this thing. I loved it, manual with the long shifter.

That is actually a great idea.

I saw a black ZR2 RC today looks lifted over the ZR2 lift, I vaguely recall seeing the truck in that same spot before.

I'm not sure manufactures want to sell BEV Ford said they want to, and are saying there are new EV in the works. They also said previously they want to sell more hybrids. Ford is cutting BEV production 10%, Ford is currently offering incetives on Lighting, those things would be more useful to the dealer if they planted flowers in the bed, they just sit there.
