I have a small rattle or movement in my steering when I go over rough road (small pot holes or uneven ground). Has anyone else notice this issue or know what this could be? It feels to me like there is movement in the steering somewhere. You can't shake the wheel at all and it's really solid when you just sit and try to move it around, but when I drive on back roads etc. I can feel like a movement that, to me, doesn't feel like it should be there. If anyone has had this or know about this please hit me with some info! Thanks!

I've got the same thing on my 2004. It's a movement that is hard to put into words. When I go over sharp bumps at very lw speeds it's kind of like a mild thunk in the front end. My rear end started making a similar "thunk". It's very slight. Doesn't happen at higher speeds above 25 mph though. I just figure it's the OME shocks I have because they are known to do that. It's normal so I'm not going to worry about it.

The other cause that I came across has to do with the u-joint or some kind of spacer in the steering shaft that can cause it once these trucks get some miles on them. There was a thread on here about it but I can't remember where it is. Someone had a fix for it instead of buying a new part from the dealer. They said there is a part in the steering shaft that causes it once the miles on the truck stack up.
