I recently had the smart key battery low indicator pop up. I did replace my battery but the indicator won't stop showing up.

Do I have to reset the battery to fix this?

Is the battery in correctly? + facing up. I looked in my manual and couldn't find anything, I would assume you might be able to reset it with your display settings above your steering wheel.

Check battery like mentioned, and if in correctly and still doesn't work. Hold it next to push to start button for a minute or so. This will sync it.

Idk. I had mine pop on a few months ago, when it came up I dismissed it from the button on the steering wheel (the back space looking button) and it was gone ever since

Was the replacement battery you installed in the key, a new battery? Even then they can still be defective. If you have a multimeter check the voltage. A new good battery should measure 3.3 volts.

If that all checks out, where is the second fob? In the truck? Or near the truck when starting? If so it could be reading that fob. Check that battery.

as far as the display once the battery is replaced, the fob is removed from more than 10ft away from the truck, the next time you cycle the ignition the warning shouldn’t reappear. There shouldn’t be any need to disconnect the truck battery.
