I'm in a 2016 TRD OR with Tech package. Anybody else having a delay issue with using the smart key to lock the truck? When I first bought it, holding my hand against the door (with key in pocket) would lock the truck nearly instantaneously. Now, there is a good 2-3 second delay before the truck locks.

Doors lock normally if I press button on the key. Both sets of keys have same issue with the door.

Asked the dealer to look at it at my last check-up. Was told that no errors came up on the computer and it's normal for the truck.

I had this problem when I first bought my truck. I brought it to the dealer they reset the battery and it's been working fine ever since. Not sure what the cause was for it to happen in the first place.

Truck battery? Hmmm, may try that. Thanks, or just mention it at my 15k service.

Yeah the service advisor told me they reset the "battery" which probably meant disconnecting the negative terminal and putting it back on lol. But, I used to have a delay and ever since they did that I have not had any issues.
