Washing the car does something to the fob. My wife had a Lexus and when I had the fob in my pocket and would just spray the water hose on it, it would lock then unlock over and over. Didn't do that when new.

I have a push to start camry and push to start sienna. But sometimes when the fobs are too close together on the keychain.. I get the no key fob error.. I just move keys around and it works.

It sounds like your door sensor is bad. There's a touchscreen test mode where they can check each receiver independently. Have them do that.

Ok. I will be taking it to the dealership on Monday. Hopefully it is something simple. The factory warranty should cover it because I got it in January and it is a 2019 right?

My parents have a 2007 Cadillac that had the same issues. One day it would start. The next, nothing. After spending a couple thousand on parts, what finally fixed the problem was replacing the key fob. Just saying - the problem could be lots of different things.

For mine the truck does not detect the key fob signals at all, I have to use the emergency key to open the door. I can only turn ON the truck when I put the key fob right next to the Ignition button and press it. That's the only way the truck will detect the key fob to turn ON. I tried using the extra key fob, I even changed the battery of one of the key fobs and nothing. I checked all the fuses and they all work.
I took my truck to get repaired from hail damage and when I got it back it was like this.

In your case, sounds like they did something to disable the rfid sensors for the exterior of the vehicle. Just so you know, the battery in the fob does not power the rfid chip. Only the transmitter for locks.

Yeah. I was thinking that maybe they forgot to connect some cable. It is weird because I do not think they should have the need to disconnected any wiring at all.

Hard to say. Maybe they disconnected the battery (for what ever reason) and inadvertently dislodged a connector?

    It's in Techstream. Not touchscreen.

The individual receiver test is accessed via obd2 connector with laptop or tablet running the Toyota techstream program.

    So here's an update.

Long story: I went to the stealership today and they wanted to charge me $200 just to remove the headliner to check the sensor that detects the key fob and TPMS (it is the same module). They said that the factory warranty didn't cover this because the shop I went to worked on the roof to repair the hail damage. My truck wouldn't detect any of my two key fobs and it also wouldn't detect the TPMS. The dealership told me that that module was the same one that controlled the key fob detection and TPMS. I came home and began to remove the headliner but you only need to remove all the roof screws, clips, and weather strip from the door from the rear driverside. Don't do what I did because I removed the passenger side first and couldn't find it so I also had to remove the driver side of the headliner. As you begin to pull down slowly on the headliner you will see a small black box with a connector entrance (rear driver side right next to the back window). Well, mine was not plugged in so I guess the shop that did my hail repair did not connect it. I didn't go back to the shop because they could only take me until tomorrow so I decided to try to fix it myself and it worked.

Short story: I fixed it myself by connecting the key fob module (it was disconnected) and saved myself $200.

Ok I had the same problem here’s what I think. Once I shut off the truck when I was in D and then shifted to park. After that my fob got the same message you got fob not detected. When you get out the ! Blinks and when You put your finger on the handle to lock the car the car makes an annoying beeping sound. Had it do it to me for a couple of days then brought it in to the dealership pissed off. One of the service guys looked at it and got another guy to look at it unbelievably it started working again like magic. I replaced the battery not the problem, I tried the other fob not the problem, then just yesterday I’ve had the same thing happen fob not detected and the beeping sound. I’ve tried holding the fob over the windshield to get it as close to the dash as I can no help came here to see what other people have done I know I’m not the only one with this problem!
