So, this happened last week. Insurance adjuster came out today. Got a full quote. Tourist driving a van changed lanes without looking hit me, then rearended the truck infront of him. My wife and 2 kids were with me. No injuries, van had to be towed. Looking forward to upgrading

not exactly sure what you mean by that.

FYI insurance says one new TRD OR rim is over $500. Half way to a new set of rims for wheeling
Edit: total cost for repair came out to almost $6k

Just poking fun is all. You were asking for upgrades so I suggested an OEM Supercharged 2nd gen Tacoma for the win! :)

I hope the first mod will be a beefy bumper. I know choices are limited right now, but I expect new options to be added on a regular basis.

Looking forward to the pending build thread.

Oh, and of course, I'm glad no one was injured. You, Your family and the offending parties.

Ahh I see. Thanks. Supercharger would be sweet. but any one that knows me, well:turtleride:
Thanks. Yes beefy front bumper for sure. I was posting in the winch bumper thread. Leaning heavily toward the Demello bumper. Hawaii supporting Hawaii. Sliders havent fully decided, mobtown was looking good. Then the big decision...SAS or mid travel. discussion happening here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/sas-or.430481/#post-12401665

6000 seams too low for that mine was only on one side of the front bumper and the cost the insurance estimated was 4k it totaled up to 9k

    Yup.
Nail on the head. I took it to a shop today. Good place. Known the guy most of my life. Told right of the bat. Estimate is low. He popped the hood. Light housing broken. Grille broken. Bunch of bent up stuff underneath. Right side inner fender slightly out. Door has small crease along lower long scratch in door. Bed needs to be removed to inspect damage. And right side bed panel bent. The adjuster didn't even pop the hood, missed a bunch of stuff. Shop owner said have them redo the estimate at his shop with all parties present to make sure I get all damage covered.

Put in a call to insurance. Waiting to be rescheduled for redo of estimate.
