    Well, here's my submission.

Car pulled in front of me attempting to cross 6 lanes of traffic at a major intersection in the city. Didn't work. Hit her rear quarter panel and took her plastic bumper (including license plate) clean off right in the middle of the road.

Didn't have my truck for three weeks after that. $8,000 in repairs to the front end, door, and hood later she was back on the road. That was back in February with only 5,800 miles on her. I'm over 20,000 now and it's been totally fine as far as the repairs went. Didn't mess up much other than plastics and cosmetics. Nothing big, no airbag either. Managed to hit the brakes pretty hard before the collision since I saw it coming, just not soon enough.

This idiot was cutting through stopped traffic and into my lane as I was passing through. :annoyed:

My truck ended up being totaled and I bought another one exactly like it.

Frame was my instant guess, too. Around here the insurance company will total a vehicle for a single scratch on the frame - not worth the potential lawsuit/liability for them should anything happen with that vehicle in the future.

They were also going to have to cut the right rear panel out of the cab and weld in a new piece. I'm very happy to have a replacement.

Here's my '16 SR5 $22,000 in damage, insurance totalled it. Drunk driver while parked. Got whole drivers side, frame, leaf spring, rear axel, gas tank and some more. Got a '17 Sport in place of it.

It almost seems like now days any accident is written off.
Vehicles aren't made to take a blow and be fine anymore.
The vehicles now pretty much crumple in an accident to absorb all the impact so the occupants aren't injured.
