Can you truly do any engine damage by smashing through a nice creek puddle?
Depth wise I am literally talking about maybe a foot.... and maybe at 20mph and its a quick Boosh!

I dont know if it was my head, or the street, weather.... but I noticed what I thought was some shaking when upshifting to 3rd, 4th....

I just love smashing through them so much.

I don't imagine it's any different than a bad storm and hitting some puddles.

Yeah, not submerged by any means. It does get up over the hood and cab.... splash height wise.

    The kids dig it.

Assuming you haven't removed your fender liner on the intake side, you're fine. On 1st and 2nd gens anyway the fender liner is all that stands in the way between the elements and your air intake, so if you hit a deep enough water pit fast enough without the liner you can suck up enough water to stall out at least, or worse. I've seen it happen to a 2nd gen anyway that removed his for 35s. Stalled the engine and his air filter was drenched, that drenched air filter saved him from a worse fate though. He bought a snorkel online later that day.

I don't know what the 3rd gen stock air intake location looks like so I can't speak to it but I assume it's similar.

Yeah, nah... no mods under the hood, or around the suspension... all stock.
Just wasn't sure if water could get into the engine bay and maybe into the alternator, or on any other electrical components.
