    getting there....
    i hope you aint getting hosed man. there is gonna be a little play in the front drive shafts. im still betting on the wheel bearings.............but i could be wrong. hopefully, he's right and it aint gonna cost ya double.

    wouldn't it be an easy test to say pull the wheel, the CV axles and spin the bearing with your hand to tell if it is bad? Before SPEND THE $600.

    I got the same smell coming from the front fender right after putting a brand new wheel bearing in. Its about 2months old and i can still smell it...
