All ya gotta know is MD is one of the toughest states to purchase a gun and it was even harder recently. The fact that I got a permit at all is because they've laxed a little on their rules.

Which is also why it's shocking to me that there are states that won't reciprocate MD. Seriously, what's left to check?

I think the lack of reciprocity is because MD won't honor any other states CCW...

Very true. Louisiana has reciprocal fees. If you levy high fees for a license for folks from Louisiana… the fee structure matches for your state, here. Some states have very low fees for fishing here, but others, it’s insane! Ye olde FAFO. We do have this weird thing about photography around gun sales… I haven’t looked it up, but I can’t take pictures of guns I’m considering. Always signs at stores and shows.
