I've carried a M&P 9C for 5 years now, put about 800-1000 rnds down range per year with it. I really like it, fits my hands great with the small grip insert. I'm 5'10'' ~170lbs, 33inch waist and carry inside the waistband. Over the years the only issue I have encountered is that if you don't have a firm grip you will get a stove pipe but that is about it. Suits my needs just fine. I've compared it to the shield a few times and really aside from a single stack there is not much of a size difference.

For summer time carry I have found that it does print with the style of clothing I wear even with the inside the waistband holsters so that's something I'm still working on. The thin grip of a single stack may help a little with that. I've been looking at the sig p938 for summer use.

I have had a G19 2nd generation that I bought in the early 90's and I have leaned to shoot it well. Now my every day cc gun is a M&P Shield 9 that I picked up a couple years ago. Single stack is much slimmer and easier to carry concealed. Took a little practice to get used to the grip and trigger as it is quite a bit different the the Glock. Both have always been reliable and go bang with you pull the trigger.

What ever feels good in your hand and is comfortable shooting. My Son likes Springfield XD's and they also shoot well.

I tried several IWB holsters before getting an Alien Gear for my Shield 9 - That is what I use now for daily carry. I also got it with a second Kydex holster to fit my G19, though I do not use it much.

I bought my Son an Alien Gear holster for his Springfield. After a year and a half of daily carry, his Alien Gear holster started fraying on the edges. He sent it in and Alien Gear replaced it with a new one.

The same shit everyone else has.
Ive used Aliengear IWB 3.0s and Crossbreed Supertuck holsters. BOth are nice. The Crossbreed gets way sweatier since its leather.

I have a 9ProL, .22, and 9shield. I love all of them. I was a little torn between a 9compact and shield and decided for carry, the slimmer shield made more sense.

For trigger finger practice, I picked up a sig sp2022. Dual action slow pull exercises suck to do but you can see improvements so quickly.

Now I have to figure out if I'm going to like my new gen3 g19.

Have held one, but not shot one. The stippled grip feels pretty aggressive - a lot like an aftermarket stipple job. The trigger isn't really much different even though they're marketing it as really different. I wish the forward scallops were all the way up the slide.

With 5 M&P pistols in the stable at the moment, I'll probably not rush out for another, but hopefully they get some traction with it. The grip job alone makes the upgrade worth it.

Just held one (.40) at Cabela's. Those grips are quite aggressive.

Held a 9mm today, the 2.0 will be my next full size purchase. I want to give it a year, maybe they'll release some other models like the v-tec or a 9c. I encourage anyone to hold a m&p and compare to a glock or xd.

I carry the MP9 on duty for the SO. It is our county-issued firearm.

I hated it at first, but then broke it in and switched the trigger to an APEX and all is good now. I almost prefer it over my other firearms.

Just picked up the shield today and already field stripped it and cleaned the excess oil from the factory. I love the feel of this gun in my hand

Debating a what color to fill in the engravings, im leaning towards red or green. The thumb safety is very easy to use and with the 8 round magazine fits my pinky nicely

Have you done it before? I've always been scared to do it, but wanted to try it this weekend. I heard if you want to do a color, do 3 coats of white first?

Question since this seems to be the M&P thread now :) , how does everyone like to carry their pistol? I normally use a vertical inside the waist holster and bought a Galco Summer comfort with a slight forward slant the other day. Aside from still breaking in the leather I am not sold on the forward slant, seems to print easily for my body size (31 waist). Other then getting a new pistol (which I am never against), what have you found to be comfortable for the summer months?

Shield goes in a Desantis Super Fly in the pocket all summer when wearing anything but jeans.
