So I have a 2012 Double Cab Off Road... and I want a Roof basket type solution.

Right now I don't have rails or crossbars or anything so I figured the best route to go would be to get the SmittyBuilt Roof basket. If I get that it looks like I don't have to get anything else, is that the case?

Anyone recommend getting rails, then cross bars, then a basket from like Rhino or whatever? I like the SmittyBuilt solution because Warrior and Fab Four are quite a bit more expensive.

I'd like to NOT drill into my roof but it's not a hard stop. I'd also like to be able to carry around 150lbs up there. I'm getting it because my Yeti 105 won't fit under my tonneau cover.

I believe you have to drill for that

Get a prinsu and it bolts right in

I'd say that the "quietest" solution regarding wind noise is the OEM. However, there are very few baskets that work with it.

The best all around is Prinsu, but it doesn't remove. It can hold 200lbs or more I think on a DC roof.

Bars + basket is going to be pretty high, create an air gap between the vehicle and the cargo, and probably whistle the loudest.

Expect 1.5 - 2 MPG drop due to wind resistance.

Another thought, which I'm doing, is to do bed bars and mount it back there. No wind noise, better aerodynamics. You situation may be different, however.

Best of luck in your searches.
