I picked up a Motive power bleeder to try and fix my brake issues. I had a soft pedal after replacing the axle shaft. We'll see if this does the trick.

While looking at the power bleeder I noticed they carry a power fill for oil. That would be pretty nice considering how often I'm changing diff and tcase fluids these days. The only problem is that they cost $80 and won't ship for up to three months. So I built my own for $25.00.

    - One gallon pump up sprayer
    - 1/4" ball valve
    - 1/4" barbed fittings (2)
    - and a short section of 1/4" ID clear hose

I took the pickup screen off the dip tube and cut the fitting for the spray wand off of the provided tubing. I'll test it this weekend to see how she works. It's a bit taller than the bleeder, but not as much as the pictures suggests. It's just the angle.

    Um...

Here's my list for the weekend:

    - Change front diff fluid
    - Wash air filter
    - Tighten EVERYTHING
    - Adjust leaf spring plates
    - Trim Ubolts
    - Fill Crawl box
    - Bleed the brakes
    - Adjust passenger side parking brake

And that's just what needs to happen to Smokey. I still have to fully pack for Moab next week.

The new gear oil dispenser worked like a champ. Pump it up, crack the valve, and wait for the fluid to run out the full port.

That's a smart and cheap solution right there. Refilling diffs with a crappy parts store hand pump was the most tedious step in the regear process. I promised myself I'd come up with a better method when it came time for the next flush, thanks for solving this one.

There's a new taco in the Trail Toys family. My Dad picked up a 2016 SR5 so he could pull his new trailer.

Over the weekend he had the @ToyTec Lifts Boss 2.0 kit put on along with a set of Dakars in the rear. Big thanks to Dylan over at Toytec for helping us pick the right suspension setup for Dad's new rig.

He'll be picking up a set of RCI sliders when he gets back from his latest road trip.

Stock: The trailer has a dry weight of 3k lbs and the truck was unloaded.

So for the heims, you just use a standard grade 8 bolt? No special bushings or anything needed? Seems pretty simple if so.
