I only pulled about a foot of air, so yes, it worked pretty damn well.

The ledge Dylan was going up would have just hung me up do to my wheel base. Need some 42's and more front travel. :D

Yup, that small Pelican case worked well for that.

The 63's did really well last week. I still had a bit more droop here.

That's the plan. I really want to link the rear as well, but with time constraints I may just do the front first and leave the rear for later. I have a Ford Dana 60 at the house and am looking for a 14bolt at the moment.

I'm going to cage it at the same time with a 4xinnovations kit.

honestly thought this whole setup would've cost a lot more! give us poor people hope. Those welds and that bumpstop extension look professional as hel man. Good job and this was very informative.

It just takes some skill and patience to get it done. I did have an extra expense as I went with Skyjacker Softride 6" lift springs instead of the junk yard springs. That's the reason I have 16" out of the back. With the junk yard springs you'll have a bit less travel. Worth the extra for the new leafs? Maybe, but that's up to you.

I admit ive been very skeptical of 63s (cause used chevy parts) for some time. I cannot believe how well they seem to be supporting the weight of the flatbed and performing.

Did you buy used springs or does one of the manufacturers like Deaver fire and bend them?

Edit: thanks for the above-mentioned post. I didnt see it come in as I was typing.

Seems like a really great deal. I already have flipped shackles from SOS as well as Rubicon Express 5" shackles. I wonder if I can just bolt up their 63s with AAL when my Deavers go flat.

I bought skyjacker lift springs instead of junk yard springs.

They're pricey, but are holding up to the job so far.
