When performing a smog test the technician is unable to get a pass. Comes up with a message "communication fail". We checked the wires to the cable hookup under the driver's dash and all checked good. There's power, there's two grounds and the ECM wire continuity check passed. Has anyone encountered this kind of problem. The truck runs perfectly. I maybe leaning towards installing a new ECM. Any help would be appreciated.
