Recent oil change ? How high is that oil level, very possible that it was just a simple overfill.

don't put Lucas additive in it! take them up on the valve stem seals. there is nothing you can tell by looking at the top of the valves with the valve cover off, just change them. like someone here posted they put air pressure in the cylinder at the spark plug hole remove the spring and seal and put new seal and move on to the next. make sure they do both intake and exhaust while they are in there. then new spark plugs and should be good. just for the hell of it find out how much the dealer would charge. you don't want a mechanic shop that does mostly oil changes and brake jobs. need someone that has done the procedure before, sounds easy but is a bit tedious.

OP, what is this place you bought the truck from like? Is it a "Buy em Sell em Everyone's approved" type of deal, a major chain, or what? How reputable are they?

I had a similar problem on my 2017 last week. Left it overnight in the cold, and when I started it in the morning it had a bit of trouble, then was smoking for over a minute. The smoke on mine seemed more gray than yours, but same symptoms. Temp was around 0f when I started it. Here is a photo of the smoke, I did not think to take a video though.

That looks like harmless water vapor to me. At least from that pic.... perhaps the lighting it making it look grey?

It was definitely not just normal condensation. Much darker than that. It gradually got lighter until it was just normal water vapor in the exhaust, but by the time I thought to take a photo, it had gotten much lighter.

no sir... I’m 32 and have only had 3 cars in my life... all bought new... 3rd one (current) taco v6 manual planning to teach my son how to drive stick in about 15 years (he is 18 months now)

nothing fell off but probably OP invested some good money on his truck and now he has a mayor issue... no, nothing has fallen but his problem is serious.

Hmm, did not think about that. Something strange was definitely going on, but it does not do it repeatedly like OP’s issue.

Yeah I dunno. Between the cold weather and altitude, maybe the open loop mode is just really rich? Total guess, you'd have to ask someone who understands the efi system better. It doesn't seem like a huge worry.

Maybe(but still probably not) if you were going from heavier oil to lighter oil, but there isn't anything much lighter than 0w20. It sounds like you've "gone" to two mechanics and nobody has even popped the hood.

Seems to me like the dealer wants to put Lucas in it to hide the problem, get you to think it's fixed, and be out of their hair.

I don't really buy the wrong oil argument either.

It seems weird that it's happening at such a low mileage though, this isn't something you usually see under 100k. Makes me think something else is afoot.

I could be pessimistic here, but this can also be a stall tactic.
When it comes to paying for large repairs, upper management will need to get involved. Upper management will most likely look at this by the numbers, X amount of months have gone by, and X thousands of miles have been driven on the truck, the more these go further out, the less they feel obligated. If they're stand up, and I hope they are, they could look at it the other way, and make it right to keep their good name and a happy customer.
In my opinion; the more miles and time that go by, the more you own this. The only miles on it, should have been the trip back.

I'm going to throw the ugly baby out there too. Another thing that can cause the issue you are having is a cracked head. I also don't think a heavier weight oil can cause this, if anything it would reduce it. I would be very surprised to find it is a cracked head, but it could cause the same symptoms.
