I searched and came up with about 100 posts on Buying them but no write ups on doing them yourself. Is there one that I couldn't find? Thanks

There are quite a few videos on youtube that show you how to smoke your headlights, depending on what type of look you are going for. You can remove the original lense housing and paint the inner portion of the stock lights, apply a tint to the outter lenses, or even buy aftermarket smoked headlights & taillights and install them. Its relatively easy to find DIY and installation videos for all of these projects on youtube.
