    Anyone else into these?

I put this rifle together a couple of years ago to take extend my deer season in Missouri and hunt in some other states that allow it.

I've taken a few deer with it so far, with the longest being a doe at 406 yards. I took it to Nebraska about this time last year for Mule deer, but didn't see one as large as I wanted to shoot.

    Remington 700ML Action
    Arrowhead Rifles Bolt nose kit/breach
Brux .45 cal 1/20 twist straight fluted barrel
    Triggertech Diamond trigger
    McMillan Game Warden Stock
    Leupold VX-6 3-8x Scope
270 Parker Emax Bullet sized using a die to fit the barrel.
The powder is H4198 and it pushes the bullet 2950 fps.

That’s pretty slick. I have a Savage 10-ml ii but haven’t worked up many loads for it.

    You don’t use a sabot?

    Thanks!

No sabot. The bullet is sized to the bore with a die so it is a snug fit. The accuracy is unbelievable with it. 3 shot groups are just a slightly elongated hole at 100 yards.

I'm also a fan of smokeless ML'r hunting. My choice is a ULA 209 50cal......it's been a very good shooting and reliable gun for me. I picked it up 2nd hand back in 2008 or so. 275gr Parker BE bullets are my go to projectile.
