So I went today to one of the local tire dealerships to get an estimate for my wheels and tires. (not the actual place I plan to purchase them...just wanted a comparison)

I told the guy I wanted DC-1 Black Machined...he told me they would be $273 apiece.

Then I told him I wanted all weather tires. He wants to sale me Dunlop at ground trek tires(not street....they are all terrain tires) for $135 apiece

Total price instillation and all is $1757.04

WTF. I found the wheels for $153 online. And I want all terrain tires. Is this a reasonable price for 17 inch wheels and tires. Or am I getting screwed??

I just ran an estimate of how much wheels plus shipping should be from the four wheel parts website. They gave me the total price of $637.20. About 400 less than what that tire place was going to sale me!

YEP THAT GUY WAS SMOKING CRACK, so he had to make a huge margin to cover the costs.

If you buy a wheel and tire package from 4 wheel parts they come mounted and balanced and I believe shipping is 98 for all 4.

This is a great deal! But there is not a 4 wheel parts place around here! Will any tire dealership follow this deal??

Had tons on the old Taco's.... new Tundra is pretty stock
4WP mounts and balances the tires and wheels, you just have to install them. It doesnt matter where you are, they just ship them out to ya for the $98

Ok so let me get this correct, they will send them to my house and I can take them to a local tire dealership and have them installed! Then they will balance them for free??

And where exactly on the site can I select wheel and tire combo?? I just see the option to buy wheels and to buy tires separately!

when you order wheels and tires from them online, look in the shopping cart and you will see mounting and balancing added I think it's like 49 for all 4. when they come to you put air in them then put them yourself on the truck, the tires will be mounted and balanced on the wheel. It's simple.

if you buy tires AND wheels from 4wp or wherever...they come already "assembled" as in the tire will be mounted on the rim and balanced for you before it arrives on your doorstep

when they show up you swap out just like you were changing a tire if you had a flat

ah...sounds good! I just wish they had cheaper tires! I don't want big expensive ones! I just want standard all weather tires!

If i get them from tire rack though then they will not be put on the wheels and balanced!

will they not? i figured if you bought a package of 4 wheels and 4 tires then they would more than likely be mounted and balanced
