2016 Limited with the stock JBL stereo. iPhone being used.

Recently had my battery go bad/dead and required a new battery.

Before dead battery, when I got a text message, I would get a pop up display and audio alert in the truck and would allow me to read/have read to me my text message.

After dead battery, this pop up notification stopped happening. I can still go into my messages "app" on the stereo and retrieve them that way, but no notification that I got a message.

No iOS or Stereo updates conducted. The only thing changed was the truck battery.

YES, my iphone has notifications enabled both in the Bluetooth and the notifications>messages sections.

Yes, I have tried to completely unpair the two and start from scratch.

Yes, the stereo has SMS notification alerts checked.

I'm at a loss here. I'm sure there is some sort of "return to factory default" option on the stereo, but I would really like to avoid that as it would loose all my maintenance numbers and other items saved.

I'm sure someone has had this issue before. Hoping for some tips from the masses here!

    Thanks!

To provide some closure on this. I go the issue fixed. No combination of settings helped. Here is what I did:

    1)Removed phone from stereo "memory"
    2)"Forgot" bluetooth connection on phone
    3)Turned truck off
    4)Hard Reboot phone
5)Turned everything back on and started from scratch and it worked.

I think it was the combo of 1/2 and 3/4 that was needed. I was only doing 1/2 before with no luck.
