Still new here, learning a lot. So purchased a snail Armor Tailgate Panel. Did anyone wax the tailgate or use rtv prior to install?
    Thanks

Nope, I didn’t see the point. Just removed factory one and installed the Snail Armor one. Been very happy with mine. Zero complaints.

    Nothing yet
I sprayed fluid film inside the tailgate. AND used silicone on the edges to seal it. But, thats just me, i live in NE Ohio and dont want winter crud getting in.

Wont hurt to do a little extra.

Well since I live in the south. I just wiped everything down and installed the new panel.
    Thanks
