So the other day i got outta bed and turned my snake cage light on and saw my girl laying on a few white things. I didnt think nothing about it, walked off, then it popped in my head "holy shit, those are eggs!!!"

The reason im surprised is i wasnt attempting to breed them and actually until 2 days ago, i thought she was a boy!!! hahaha ( i feel bad and apologized to her).
But i was wondering if anyone has any knowledge on breeding snakes and/or taking care of eggs!

yes... wow i thought this info would never come in handy. that happened to me years ago.
    what i did...

    1. okay so you get her off those things... then you CAREFULLY SEPARATE THEM IF YOU CAN (water helps)if not dont worry about it they can stay together...

    2. there is this stuff called sphagnum moss (i think thats how its spelled) you can get it at home depot or osh

    3. you put the eggs in the middle of the MOSS either attatched to each other, or separated(DO NOT ROTATE THE EGGS!!) on top of about an inch of soil
-in a plastic shoebox container of sorts with ventilation holes in it(lid on)... and place it in the tank over the heating pad. NOT TOO CLOSE AS TO FRY THE THINGS just atop the substrate so it stays warm in there.

    4. to make sure it stays SLIGHTLY humid in the box, make sure the soil stays somewhat moist and if fungus starts to grow on the eggs put some lamisil cream on the spots with a qtip.

    5. you can tell if the eggs are becoming too dry because they will get shriveled and shit...

OR you can opt to leave them where they are and mist them a couple of times a day and hope they dont get squeezed or crushed

every couple of weeks lift the batch up and check em out by shining a light thru the shells... might be able to see them developing

just make sure you dont rotate the eggs... im not exactly sure if it can kill the embryo inside or not but that's what i was told

its easy, here are the steps.

    1) lay down
    2) get comfortable
    3) close your eyes
    4) clear your mind, and search your eye lids for holes until your alarm clock goes off or until you get tired of looking for holes.

Are you sure these eggs are viable without being fertilized by a male?

Well He said he wasn't planning on breeding THEM so I'm guessing he has 2 snakes or more.
As for the eggs, i say mist em with a spray bottle every few days and let her take care of em. She has the instincts to do it.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
I know nothing, it sounds like DV88 knows a lot. Not that I wouldn't trust him, but I would do some serious research to find out. I woud imagine she will become quite territorial.

Orrrrrr if you dont want to do the work, you can contact your local reptile store and they will incubate the eggs for you. Just dont rotate them, by rotating/ seperating the embryo it can kill it. When I lived in Cali there was a really badass reptile store that would incubate and depending on what they were, would request to keep one of the hatchlings for their store.

Ive never had snakes, but I have 4 bearded dragons... dragon eggs/snake eggs, same difference. ;)
