One day near the parking lot ramada just off 48th street in South Mountain Park, a green rattler was about 50 ft from the start of dirt trail. I took a picture but kept my distance and when it was left alone it just went into the bushes. An asian visitor male started going into the bushes with his camera. His wife was speaking in their language berating him ... did not understand her exact words. I asked her if I should drag him back by his ear-lobes and she answered "yes".

May have saved that guy a $100,000 bill from the hospital.

Depending on the lens you can get pretty darn close. My 100-400 is always attached to my D7200 and I can get some
real tight shots..snagged this one while on my stomach up on the salt river... pretty detailed shot.. based on the scale on
the eyelid I'm now wondering if this was a Mohave or just a garden variety diamond-back.

Maybe I should give up and give him a name - get to know him you know. Help me name it.

I also need some kind of passenger warning about potential snakes in the truck, I'll have to write something up for that, suggestions?

Do you have a snake removal service company local that you can call? Seems like they would be able to get this resolved sooner than later.

I have a neighbor with a shotgun, some re-wiring likely required. Never heard of a snake finding service, maybe...

Did they accidentally hit a snake in the process?

Have you removed the glove box to look in and around that area?
Maybe pull the head unit out?

Oh man, I forgot I had a friend that lost a kitten in her car. It crawled all up in there, her and her friend went to a dealership, meowing at the cat trying to get it to respond. The more I think about them meowing into the trim trying to find what panel to pull, the funnier it gets. Neither one of these girls had slept enough for months.

So I found out that Ortho makes a product called "Snake B Gone" by searching for how to get a snake out of your car. Home Depot sells it but I don't know...
