Snorkel and Fiberglass fenders?

    Exactly. Not everyone likes the look of snorkels but they are pretty cheap insurance. I'd much rather drop $350 on good snorkel than a few grand on a new motor.

    I say the snorkel is more important than the fenders. You said you might do SAS later...so skip the fenders and save for that.

    French it in would probably look the best (and less likely to get snagged on something), but would be a bit difficult and easy to screw up IMO. Only thing I can think of is slowly heat and bend the one you have until it fits against the new fender, similar to what is done in the link posted earlier (remaining flush however).

    im not a fan of the glass fenders. and if i had the choice of an SAS or LT, i would definitely SAS that shit.

    My plan is to cut and french in the snorkel when i mount fiberglass. The major issue is how much that snorkle will stick out from the A pillar. Too keep it clean im gonna keep it tight. Basically make a template of the snorkle shape trace it on to the fender start cutting from the bottom up and slowly working away till the snorkle sits flat and is recessed into the glass. Once you have the hole cut make a new flat for the snorkle to mount to. brace the flat recessed section apply cloth and fiberglass sand and bondo then send to your painter or do the paint your self. There is a good fiberglass forum out on the web with some good info i just forget the name.

    I think its gonna look better than with a regular fender :cool:

    in cab is interesting, but like someone else said, won't that be loud inside the cab? Curious to see more pictures of this. I'd need to have so I can swap the stock airbox in there for smog checks.

    feedback from people who have done it is its quieter than a K&N under the hood. yeah some noise under WOT but cruising its barely noticeable.

    Plus at $20 in parts - its effective and cheap!
