Depending on the opening/ tube size you could look into River Raider. I had their products years ago. Well made. Another option is the end piece off an H1 intake, they are all over Ebay.

Here is a link to the river raider cap. They also sell extensions you could cut to your desired height.

I do want to note that a snorkel is helpful during deep water crossings prior to the interior getting wet.

I’ve done water crossings where I’m forging across with a bow wave in front of me and a sudden dip in depth, loss of traction, idiot in front of me stopping, etc makes me slow and loose that bow wave, putting my intake at risk.

In those situations, I’ve never had a wet interior but had mid fender height water momentarily.

Hell, even the time I hydrolocked my Jeep XJ engine (with a snorkel) I didn’t get the interior wet.

Wet/soaked interiors comes, most often, from stopping in too deep of water or long water crossings. Short ones, like we have in Colorado in the mountains, don’t soak you unless you stop…but snorkels do help with hiccups during those crossings…but yeah, mainly just use them for avoiding so much dust in the intake. Water crossings have many issues besides soaked interiors and hydrolocking.

FYI: Water crossings easily cause electrical issues long term, axles/trans/transfer case issues, brake issues, radiator fans breaking off, cold splashes causing radiator cracks, etc. Ask me how I know.

Yeah, when a water crossing goes badly, it does so very quickly. Were you able to save the motor in the Jeep?

    Check build thread!
For me, it was this exactly. The extra security of the snorkel. I fell through some ice on a unmaintained dirt road whilest I was looking for a hunting spot. Dude, I shit myself when I saw that my drivers side mirror was under water. Thankfully, my passenger side was up on a bank, and the bottom was solid. Only damage was a crunched in fender and some dirty pants. And a wet interior. But that’s what made me a get a snorkel. Because if that happened on the other side… I’d have a 20k repair bill right now.

Nope, blew a nasty hole out the side of the block.

Had bought the Jeep for $600 and sold it with the blown motor for $600 (guy had rolled his and wanted the body) so just moved on…that was after recovering it two months after blowing the engine, because the area I left it in (over a weekend) caught fire and I couldn’t get to it for two months…but it was untouched.

That’s crazy! It’s insane it wasn’t caught up in the fire. Fire is a funny thing. Shit you’d never think would burn is gone in the blink of the eye. And things you swore would burn down if they got too hot in fall are still standing.
