Snorkel Install on 05+ Tacoma

    toyota brand hitch and uhaul wiring harness, fog lamps on anytime, bed lamps, map lights on with dome, day time running lamps, remove secondary air filter, painted bumper grill, Double Din touch screen stereo, Sockmonkey custom SR5 decal, door & seatbelt bells disabled, painted engine cover, installed compass/temperature overhead console, failed mod: passenger side auto down window switches, weathertech front mats, RedLine hood struts, Cheap Beep piezo buzzer locking beep, 5100s in the front set at 2.5, 5100s in the rear, AAL, hitch safe, revenge fab sliders, bed bar, prerunner light, cb wired
    during that water crossing, did you have it in 4 wheel high/low?

    Yeah I had her in 4lo second gear. The bottom was flat and packed and I knew it, so I didnt have to worry about hidden crap underwater. This allowed me to just let her just crawl herself through. 4lo 2nd gear gives a nice speed to maintain a bow wake.

    awesome, thanks. I was curious cause i just did a water crossing with my non trd non 4x4 (just prerunner sr5 with 5100s at 2.5 and AAL) and it was almost as deep as your crossing.. but yah.. considering i have nothing.. kinda scary :cool:

    That crossing was not too deep at all, you would be fine. I do suggest you change your diff fluids though if you did not extend your breather prior.

    2009 Tacoma SR5 Too many to list, but its a SR5 with a TRD Sport Heart
    Nice write up, I will be doing this mod VERY soon, due to finding out that the stock intake is kinda low....

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    K&N wont improve MPGs. the stock system is already a CAI. the best thing for performance is the URD intake, but not good for offroad/wet situations and far from connecting to the snorkel.

    the snorkel / tubing should keep the air cooler entering your engine.

    Does this work for 12-15 trucks? I noticed the Cruiser Outfitters site has it listed for '05-'10.
