I'm gonna revive this thread after reading it over and over the past couple days

this is the same snorkel right?
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/PASS-Snorke...RA-/321614062782?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
i looked on cruiser outfitters and looked at the part number they're selling for the tacoma and on Safari snorkels site that part number is for the 167 series hilux snorkel. so it should be the same fitment right? for 140 bucks i don't mind risking a slightly cheaper plastic lol.

I dig the "Advertisement" It's completely relevant since we have nothing to talk about Safari's slow delivery time. I love the original Toyota Emblem, thanks for posting I'll save that link for later.

I really like that, and it would tie together with the teq logos I have on my doors. Now I just need to grow a set of balls and drill a bunch of holes in my truck!

For those who are worried about rainwater getting in their snorkels during heavy rains I can tell you that few of the trucks in the Philippines bother to turn their snorkel heads around during the rainy season (it's currently the rainy season and when it rains, it really rains). Some of them, such as my neighbor and a couple of the more adventurous types and those with high performance engines (sucking more air and expensive), have installed small drain plugs in the bottom of the system so that any water that does enter will drain out. These are nothing more than a fitting with a simple screw-in plug that can be installed to quickly seal it back up. You have to remember to put it in before you go through water though. You could conceivably use a ball scupper drain but I personally wouldn't trust it.

Should be installing my Ebay china model this weekend. I'm running mine into my TRD CAI, but I actually used the same 4" to 3" fitter and was able to seal it tightly around the oval of my CAI with some minor trimming.

This is how it's sitting in my truck right now. Like I said, I'll install probably this weekend. Reading through every thread I can find

The best thing I did was throw away the template and lined it up myself because the template didn't work on the other 2 trucks we installed this on

Yeah I've got a big thing of paper I'm going to use to poke the studs through and kinda make a rough template. Hoping to not run into too many problems.
