    We trimmed about 1" from the actual snorkel and about 5-6" off of the snorkel hose (not the round end).

    You will need to remove the splash guard - no way around that.

    Sorry for skipping out on you. I still feel hungover. Way to much booze Sat night :eek:

    NP. Glad to help.

    A hole saw can jump around on you so I used a dremel with a cut off blade. Much safer IMO if you can freehand the cut.

    Just an FYI..

    If you guys want you 3 to 4 " to the intake to fit perfect, cut about 1-1 1/2 " wide pc of 4" pvc. It fits on the stock intake perfect and makes the fernco fit tighter. I siliconed it on and the put 2 small screws to hold it.

    Yeah that would prolly work.

    I think the flex stuff is about the easiest way to go.

    I only opened mine up half of the suggested ovaling. But wish I would have opened it up all the way so it would be easier to work on placement. I guess you just lucked out.

    Cant seem to upload the pics of how I connected the snorkel to the air box..but I took part of Joe's suggestion but changed it up a little bit. Instead of using the 6" long 3" diameter exhaust pipe he gave me, i went to an exhaust shop and got a 3" diameter piece bent to about 135* so it comes out of the snorkel rubber piece and then bends up a little bit towards the air box. i then cut the stock air hose just after the bulge, and used a fernco to connect it to the piece of exhaust pipe
