    as i mentioned in my first post, no room to go up a size, but thank you. Adding a nut will be fine, just have to grind or saw the existing threads off due to limited space.

    Put the bolt in from the inside out all of those damn things are made like that they really didn't expect people to actually fix things. Yes you could put a nylon nut on it lock tight works for a nut lock but won't do a thing for the blower treaded part.
