    Well you’ll rip the crap out of the fender and when the chain breaks, you’ll wrap it around the axle or beat the crap out of the body work..

    I’d go for a less aggressive chain or forget about it up front.

    Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
    Solid front axle is the only guaranteed way. Spacers only push the tire out further on the arc it travels while turning. Which gives more clearance to the UCA, but decreases clearance to the fender at full lock.

    "Western states" is an enormous area which makes that kind of a silly generalization. All of the the coastal ranges get very wet and dense snow. Even the west side of the Cascades gets snow like you experience. High altitude inland locations in Utah, Montana, etc gets more of the light powder snow you are thinking about. Early snows, and late season snows, in the Rockies can sometimes be as dense and nasty as anywhere on the continent.

    I bought some ordinary tbar chains for the crappy roads this year. So far so good.
    It took a road plow to get off of my hill.
