I went from a 4 car garage, to 2.5 car garage, to a 1.5 garage. Poor executive functions, I agree. With this, my wife's car is snug in the garage and my poor truck is out in the elements. Chivalry is not dead!

With this, the brutal temps, and our newly blanket of 14" of snow my truck is in the elements, big time. One thing I always notice during this time of year is how snow and ice accumulate under the truck I get this super annoying creaky, creaky, creaky sound from my front end. It happens every year until it warms up a touch or I hit a bump big enough that the chunk falls off / it explodes.

Anyone else experience this? If so, do you know exactly where it's coming from? I look under the truck, but it's not entirely clear which ice formation needs to go.

Hope this note finds the group well in 2024.

    Best,
    MJA

We get a lot of snow here too and the only annoying creaking I ever hear is when chunks of snow get jammed between my cab and the box/cap. I’ve blown through deep drifts of snow as well and never had a noise from the front end after.

Maybe check for ice and slush build-up in your front wheel-wells somewhere. Could be that it’s partially melting and then re-freezing against your suspension during the night?
