I like how this tread turned into the thread of the day.

I started my day on TW having some asshole yelling at me and calling me dense. I fought the good fight for 15 mins then let my switched-on tw brethren take over. I love how on this forum, if you act like a cunt there's tons of good people that call you on it. Excuse the language. Been watching lots of BBC shows lately and cunt is fair game over there. Also, how great is Irish whiskey? Right?

I'll admit I didn't read this whole thread, but here it goes anyway. I don't think those tires are that bad at all. I ran them for years and never had issues going through deep snow. ICE they were horrible. But snow I thought they did really well for a non aggressive tire. That being said, I put on duratracs over a year ago and all our snow has since ended up on the east coast...

Snow was above the front bumper most of this drive as you can see by my grille before clearing it out.

Stock tires are only good compared to no tires at all. They are average compared to the worst, and piss poor compared to the good ones.

Duratracs are prolly the best tire all around for snow. Seen some reviews that they match winter tire performance tires. The red headed sister of that tire group, the fierce attitude mt's aren't even close.

Agreed I've tried about every tire out there, and the Duratracs are amazing in snow and ice.

I have been thinking about getting these tires myself because my stocks just can't take this Nebraska snow. Would you recommend these tires? Do you know how they perform in muddy situations?

being in light fluffy fresh snow makes a huge difference. if that was wet heavy snow you would be all kinds of stuck.

Yep. Every snowfall is different. I love driving in it. I just wish we would get some already. All we have now is rain and earthquakes.

I'm also running the ko2. they are a awesome snow tire but they suck in the mud. the tread gets packed quick and they turn into slicks. But I would think any AT tire would do such. That's what mud tires are for.
