So, I currently have a Snow bear plow on my 2002 4 runner. I have purchased a 2022 tacoma TRD sport. When looking to snow bear for new mounts they only go up to 2018 models.
In 2020 there was a face lift what was changed?
Does any body use a snow bear plow on thier Taco?
Can any body tell me what is different between 2018 and 2022?
I can mode things if I need to. just need to know.

if there is a thread I didn't see it. I am new to this site and forum.

    thanks for your help.

    thanks Beerman

2016-2022 are all the same. Only changes made throughout the years are new headlights, different design grill, upgraded radios and power seats.

I have had the same ploy on my 4runner for 19 years. it is still a great truck. I am sure my taco will be fine.

I wonder why snow bear said they hadn't made mounts for 2021 models.

thanks 5nahalf, I am just trying to verify before I spend a bunch of money for something I cant use.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Others can probably tell you more about how the frame & mount will match up.
I had a Fisher Homesteader plow on my 2006 TRD. The mount was not a problem. The electrical connections on the other hand were not done completely correct. The connection between the hand-held control was somehow wired to the heater fan and I could only operate the plow's controls when the heater fan was on. Caused me a great deal of angst one day after my truck got back from the dealer. Seems they had shut the fan off for some reason (I didn't realize it) and after hooking up the plow it would not work. Did not know at the time that the fan had to be on to operate the plow controls.
With the Gen3 Tacos I read numerous threads here about electrical gremlins showing up after the most inane electrical mods. This is where I think you'll have issues, particularly if the wiring for your plow is designed to cut out your truck's headlights when the plow is connected. If it were me, I'd try to wire it so that there is NO interconnection with your trucks headlights or signal lights. Unless @caribe makaira knows the tricks necessary for a fool-proof connection.
BTW, welcome to TW! Don't hang around here too much - if you do you will either decide that you've bought the worst truck possible OR the mods described will encourage you to empty your bank account.

BTW, my '06 Taco with the plow performed great for 15 years. Didn't like how the control was wired, but as long as the fan was on there was no problem. I will admit that the hand-held remote got a little touchy toward the end of its time with me - the cost of a replacement was obscene so I just lived with it for the last few years that I used it to plow.
I've since graduated to a Kubota BX-2380 with a 55 inch snowblower and 60" snow blade for snow removal. While it's a bit less comfortable than plowing with the Taco, it's a helluva lot more fun. And I can do a much neater job. Plus the Kubota does a fine job with lawn mowing, rototilling, fertilizer spreading, etc.

I wired my 4 runner no issues. I think i want mod it now so i can just use remote control. I have had my 4 runner for almost 19 years. I bought in jan 2003. When my t100 got totalled. It has been the most troue free vehicle i have ever owned. I am stipud for not just driving it. 156k still runs great. It was dads turn for new shoes.

2021 is nothing like what your 2002 is/was. There are far more interconnections in the electronics than ever. Some of the simplest changes can create some hair-pulling troubleshooting. Same transition for me as I migrated from a '06 to a '21.
I wish you luck and hope that it's simpler than what I imagine.

The Fisher wiring is very straight forward not real sure why you have issues the controls are in the Fisher box the stick is a plug in it's pretty simple.

I put a Fisher plow on my 2019 Tacoma from another truck and all I had to buy was a new frame for the truck. The wiring harness is the same one. You may want to email Snow Bear and ask them about the install. Best of luck with it .

Some companies neglect to update the info on their websites each year.
