I'm hearing 10-20 inches of snow by Saturday night.
I guess I'll get to see how well mine moves around in that much. I wasn't impressed with the stock BFG RT tires a couple weekends ago when it snowed here in Northern VA.
This is one of the bigger snows in recent memory.

I should call my parents in VA - looks like they're right in the thick of things right now.

Got the snow blower out of the shed. Put a wedgiecover over the Satellite dish (prevents snow buildup) and put about 140lbs of weight in the truck. I'm ready!!

Just pulled out my snow blower a little bit as well. Neglect that thing so much yet I managed to get her started up just fine every year. Just wish we were forecast to get the heavier snow in our area seems like it's going to be more south through Delaware and South Jersey.

Why do you guys want snow? "Play in it..." Yeah, right. Here in W. PA, we get snow and if you expect to play on the roads you had better think again. 99%+ of the idiots on the road haven't got a clue how to drive in it. I'd say 50%+ 4-WD drivers don't either.

It is just a pain in the butt trying to get anywhere. 4-WD won't get you anywhere when the road where you want to go is jammed with stuck cars. They throw road salt (corossive) and anti-skid material (stone chips). Fender benders are commonplace and, well...I just don't see the attraction. My guess is that many of you wishing for it have never had to deal with it much ??

I hope you all get what you want, as for W. PA...I hope it all bypasses us and you guys get our share. Snow on Christmas...OK, any other day, No Thanks !

Personally....I hate the cold weather. I'm always wrapped up on blankets and drinking hot chocolate in the winter. My theory is.... if its gonna be 30 degrees or less, there might as well be snow. Why? Because atleast you can get outside and 'do something' - like build snow men, go cross country skiining, sledding, snow ball fights, etc. I'd love to have a pair of cross country skiis...but I'd be lucky to actually use them once over a 3 year time period.

You can still have fun and PLAY in large empty parking lots. Or - if you're lucky enough to have a farm nearbye where the owner will let you drive around on the fields..... Not that I ever did that with my current tacoma.

I was brought up in N.H. for 18 years of my life where snow was around 100% all winter. I loved playing in it. I miss not having snow around.....

But then again...the first BIG snow storm of the season is always exciting to me. After that.....I'm ready for spring.

I understand where you're coming from. I live in a college town (I'm a native), which multiplies the hazards of inexperienced drivers exponentially. But, this is also a rural area where I can go find an unimproved, unmaintained, and seldom travelled dirt road to go "play" or even just engage the 4wd and lube the parts. If I'm feeling helpful, I'll even take a ride to see if anyone needs a pull out of a ditch. Like Janster said, if it's gonna be cold, there might as well be snow. I also am anxiously awaiting the opportunity to do some killer sledding with my kids. Bring on the mother f'n snow!:)

Calling for a foot in New London CT, where I work. I'm due to go on duty at 7 PM Saturday. This is why I spent the extra money of 4 WD. Now, if only I could afford to ditch the stock Dunlops...
