Looks like it is still a go. My freind and co-workers will still be going regardless of weather conditions. It will be a "interesting" adventure. The weather calls for snow and some slight wind. Looks like there will be some traffic up there as well. I have been browsing the 4x4 forums and many plan to head that way. The question I pose to those interested is, did you still want to go or rather do PC as Brian mentioned?

If you guys decide to go to Prairie City, definitely let me know. I was planning on going today, but would rather just wait until tomorrow if you guys might go there

PC is close, easy for the stock guys, but I'm sure its gonna be very muddy. The biggest tradeoff however is, if we get all the way up there and find out we can't do the snow, we just blew a buncha gas for nothin.

IDK. Cheaper is always better for me.

Nah. I would just air down to like 10psi and take it nice and slow. Only use the skinny pedal when needed. It's not what you drive but how you drive.

I will still be going. So everyone who showed interest should have my number. I will be at the local meet spot posted on page 1 at 9am. Whether you are going or not txt me so I know to expect you. Worst comes to worst if we can't find snow or for whatever reason the runs doesn't work out due to unforseen circumstances then I will just go to PC for awhile.

For all those going, bring whatever recovery gear you have and wear proper clothing. It will be cold and snowing, so be prepared for the unexpected.

Couple rigs from ttora are also doin a snow run on Sunday and I mentioned that I might join them depending on what trail they run and if this run fell through or not. I'm busy putting the mtr's back on so one way or the other I'll be heading up to the mountains. Ghost, I'll shoot you a text when I know for sure where I'll be headed

I think I'm going to bail. I've got some other things that came up that I need to do. I went up a little while ago to see what the conditions were (and to play around a little bit). We're supposed to get another 6 inches before you guys get up here, but I'm thinking you're going to be going up the hill quite a ways for anything deep. Be prepared for white-out conditions (of course, that could all change depending on tomorrow's weather). It wasn't snowing when we left the house, then it was almost white-out. Snowing hard enough you could only see about 100 feet. So be prepared! Will likely be off and on snow all day. Pics are all at/below where Park Creek comes into MET. And chain reqs earlier were just east of Placerville. It looks foggy in the pictures, but that's just limited visibility due to the snow.

Hey so it looks like I'll be heading up with another group. Good luck and be safe everyone.

PS. I live on one of the tallest hills in Shingle Springs and the rain was already turning into slush at 630. Should be a good night of snow
