Yeah, Pollock Pines. 88 will have less traffic, but it does go a lot higher at the pass and they do close it more often for avalanche control. Realize it snowed very low, so it'll be a long drive with all the idiots spinning out whichever route you take.

No idea. Looking at the traffic camera in Placerville, talking to friends in Placerville, and hearing about all the spinouts, I'd say the highway is. Placerville got 5 inches of snow. But when it snows down in Placerville, all the DOT (county) trucks that plow up here go down there to clear the roads. So we probably won't get plowed up here until sometime late this afternoon or tonight. We can easily end up with a couple of feet on the roads before they get to us. Just don't get so high up MET that it snows so much behind you that you can't get back down! I'll be doing some snow play again today since I have to go to the store.:D

It's still tempting to at least go up a little way. I still have to blow the driveway though.

Want to hear how it went when you guys get back. As you know, it snowed all day (still snowing and we're supposed to get another 6 inches tonight).

I almost royally screwed us because I stopped when a few jeeps were tying to get by. But by stopping I got stuck pretty damn good and Brian was behind me and he had to stop and also got very stuck. Lol and there wasnt really any place to turn around. But yeah eventually we all got out, and I had a great time. Thanks again to the guys who went and helped me out alot
