Snow wheeling is my favorite too. I like 10psi, siped mud tires and lockers. Always carry something to inflate tires, a snow shovel and starting fluid or something to reset a bead isn't a bad idea. The winch, snatch block, extra chain and tow strap never leave my truck. snow.jpg

    Awesome pic, thanks @Buschman :fistbump:

10 PSI is the golden zone I have worked out as well.

They are just 285 75 16 BFG KM2's. It was one of those perfect snow days, light dry powder! Every snow trip isn't like that one unfortunately.

That is one of the things I love about snow wheeling so much. You have to check it every single time you get in it, it changes day to day.

Makes it much more difficult, and challenging :cookiemonster:

Totally forgot to post this after my trip a few weekends ago.. Never seen anything like it before. Breaking trail through 4-12 inches of really icy, fresh, powdery snow all morning. Only made it 20 ish miles before I noticed a loss of power which was a shitty feeling that far away from anyone or anything haha. Ended up taking the intake hose off which helped a lot. I can only figure the snow was so fluffy that it circulated up around the wheel well liner and into the intake

    Holy crap!@

That is an intense amount of snow on your air filter! :anonymous:

    Snorkel time?

I had a similar issue when I did this

I should have stopped and turned my snorkel intake around backwards, but I did not. My air filter did not look that bad but it was covered in snow.

Every few years I get a good snow day like this. Last snow day I had that was anything close to this was probably 2013. In the same area too.

I was at 3-4 psi. These trails were dug up with ruts so there was no big risk of blowing beads off. However I did blow and bead off and bend a wheel on a tree lol. Nothing a hammer didn’t fix on the spot.
