I have got a question. This morning I went out to my truck. We had about 2" of snow Sunday so I opened the door to get my snowbrush out. As I opened my door I got a bunch of snow in the truck. Does this happen to everybody? or am I Cursed by the snow gods again? Thanks

Yup happens to me as well but thankfully only while at work lol stays nice and dry at nights in the garage.. but yes its like the door creates a vacuum and suck that damn snow right into the seat... best to try and get as much off with your hands before opening the door...that's what I learned to do..

Happens to everybody. Brush the snow off from around the door before you open it.

    I second this^^

You can keep a cheap brush in the bed.
I also open the door a crack then open it slowly to minimize the amount of snow that gets sucked in...

If you have a double cab open a back door first. Then the snow gets sucked in the back. With the back door opened then open the front and your seat will stay mostly dry.

I bought a push broom just for removing snow. Found the softest one and it works pissah. When i had the Thule racks on, i bolted a piece of pvc pipe to the bottom of the front rack mount and for lack of a better description I am going to call it a metal clothespin. It is designed to hold a broomhandle as it has a Diamond shape opening for the handle to fit.
Now, i just throw it in the back of the truck.

Should take the snow brush with you before hand , then you don’t have to worry about it . I think just about every car out there has this problem lol .

Thought I’m the only one doing that. It sure looks pretty ghetto but it makes short work of clearing the snow. Iced up snow though, not so much but that’s what the defroster is for.

walking downtown to the office would be a hoot. i could make a few extra bucks at teh red lights.

    and then...

i'd take it into the bar and probably forget it in there with the umbrella i carry on cloudy days.

Happens in every car/truck I've driven. Crack the door open, then open slowly, and it won't get sucked in.

Happens to me everytime, you can either brush off the door seal before you open the door, or blow the snow off your seat. (blowing it is more effective when the snow is really powdery). There is a vacuum type effect behind the doors, so the slower you open them, the cleaner it will be

BTW, beautiful Newf you got there. I’ve got two. Kinda like living with livestock with a 2yo mentality...

Yeah you got me there with diving into the thread. It was a pre-caffeine mishap on my part.

Thanks for the Newf comment. She was a beautiful dog, died two years ago at 10 yrs old, had a good life. Pretty cool you have two of them (pics?) and you’re right about the livestock analogy haha...
