Now we are talking. Used to be the definition of snow bum. Lived dreamed ate snowboarding. Every morning I would wake up look outside and hope for a nice coating of the white stuff, then go to the hill. level 1 CASI-ACMS and level 1 coach. my job was to snowboard. no chance of making money, all my money was made and spent at the hill, or the local boardshop. I have a burton Indie and a Burton King with Cartels on it. Moto boots and a 686 SMRTY jacket. Hope to get a PRIOR snowboard sometime with Catek bindings.

thanks for the info. i can carve pretty well and stop on both sides. it might be a different story since its been like almost a year since i have ridden though. My budget is probably 200 for a board which is why im looking for a used board. id probably be willing to spend more on bindings though but i also need boots and new goggles.
    cool thanks man
yeah dude im liking that deal. the only thing im worried about is that its a 156. im probably close to 200 so idk if thats a good size or not

I hear that, its a neverending spending spree.

For this season I still need:
New Mittens (my gloves are done for, and I have been wanting to try mittens)
New pants- Ripped mine right down the crotch doing God knows what.
    Goggles- Thinking Oakely Splice, opinions?

My boots are getting pretty worn out, next season maybe. Also bindings, I have 3 boards and 1 set of bindings. It would be nice to be able to loan out a board to a friend if it had some bindings.

those never summer boards are sick but a little out of my price range haha
for real man i need new gloves too...luckily i got new pants right when the season ended last year on sale so im set with those cause i did the same thing to my old ones haha. The oakley splices are pretty sick. one of my roomates just got them on steep and cheap.com and they look good...as far as performance though im not sure.

I'm hoping that we will have a stormy winter this year in Vermont.

For anyone looking to try snowboarding. Try it AT LEAST 3 times before giving up or commiting to it. IMHO it is the best sport out there so go have fun. And getting massivly banged up your first day is normal, just get back out there and try again.

I wore a pillow in my pants when I was learning, lol. But I was 8.

He's right though, a lot of people get discouraged the first few days. You gotta stick with it. It is commonly known that snowboarding is very hard to learn but so easy to get good at!

i have done it 3 times before i got my board. and i still fell allot on my 3 time. my first time was in like ’09 lol i fell every time getting off the lift some times i took someone els out. and fell prob 30+ times. i took one and ended up tumbling down for a bit. i had to roll out of bed and fall in the floor the next day. and i have a high bed. soo made it hurt even more. but i had a blast. :D:D:D last time i still fell getting off the lift but i just fell a few times not every time
