Mammoth is awesome...if you have the money and the time to do it. Mammoth from So Cal is a long drive. Big Bear is much smaller but but cheaper. If your looking for a day trip or a cheaper weekend trip I would go to Mountain High.

It really depends on what you want to do. Are you going to be cruising down the mountain leisurely or are you looking for some jumps and rails. Mountain High has some amazing jumps and rails and it's super cheap. They have 3 mountains, the snowboard mountain is by far the best...but that's coming from a snowboarder so I'm a little biased. I love waking up early on a Saturday morning and driving up to Mountain High for the day, they also do night rides as well, but so does Big Bear and Mammoth, but it's like I said earlier, it depends on what you are wanting to do and how much your wanting to spend. I know that at least for myself, Mountain and Big Bear are best just because you don't have to wear your jacket all the time. Thermal and t-shirt and your good to go till the afternoon when the sun goes behind the mountain.

exactly dont ever go to bear. the conditions suck, mountain highs closed right now because of how shitty the snow is, mammoths worth ever dollar you spend there, it has around 200 inches of snow, anywhere in the country even come close? nnnoooo
