No worries, thanks for all the info you’ve provided. Really does help. I have asked this question on many threads. Just trying to see others’ perspectives and setups. Once I dive into my suspension I’ll note all of my findings and stuff I run into for the next guy like me that is roaming TW.

We have the same problem here in the Chicago area people that don't know how to drive in the snow and ice. Mostly driving to fast for conditions.

I think I’m okay on shocks. Sorta ... I am mostly looking to try and run 285/75 or 295/70. I have SCS SR8 4.5 BS and -10 offset. I am currently looking at the Eibach lift kit at headstrong. With UCA’s and AAL. Have never done this, so I guess I’d just have to buy and see what all cutting and trimming to do. With that wheel size, I’m just not sure which tire would be easier to run.

I feel ya -- as a TX gulf coast surfer I'm always watching the weather looking for that couple hour window as the front rolls through to clean it up until it eventually blows flat. Water in the 50s with a cold north wind blowing is the best lol. PINS is definitely my happy place where life slows down. Have fun out there and good luck!

Bumping this thread. Didn’t know we’d be hit like this again. Stay Warm Texas! Pics from central TX yesterday (2/16).

Enjoying being able to help people out. Very impressed with the truck relative to the other vehicles in the road. No water but getting power today was nice.

Not central TX but north TX, dallas area. We got 6-8 inches where I'm at. Power has been on rolling blackouts for days now but still have water. Drove around a little and like others said, very impressed with how the Taco handled in the snow. In 4hi, it was like driving on pavement. Yall stay safe, we are in the homestretch for 60+ temps.

Be careful of those other vehicles (knuckleheads) out there. No snow down here in CC, just ice. TXDOT closed the JFK causeway, harbor bridge along with any and all freeways. Which was a good thing. Pretty much all was opened back up yesterday. Like you we got our power back yesterday evening after 4 days. Water pressure is low, but able to take that much needed shower. Back to the 70's next week!

I'm in Pecos Texas and we've gotten 6-8 inches this week. Pretty crazy for down here. The yota does great in the snow.

I'm in Smithwick, didn't lose power thankfully and I ran a heater in the wheelhouse. Went out to feed one morning and it was 6 degrees! Had the welder ready to generate power just in case!

I need to convince Christa we need a big weld machine to use as a whole house generator.

Honey, we need a generator to be prepared for an extended power outage...
    That's a good idea...
    What's that!?
    The generator.
    And you're welding with it...?
    Yup.
Turns around shaking head. Walks back inside.

The thing is, it will not have to sit idle for the next few years waiting to be run again. I'll keep fresh fuel in it, win win
