Total overkill but if it keeps my back happier for longer then it's a wise investment in the long run. Watching all you old fucks fall apart has made me a little more conscious of what I'm doing to preserve myself in the medium run. :luvya:

I don't think so, just a poly bump on the shock shaft. They do have some sort of trick valving with the double flutter stacks that should soak up the small/medium bumps running down the access roads to trails and then stay firm on the highway and not be a sloppy, soft mess at speed. Or at least that's how they explained it to me.

Flat Nasty driveway will be the real test lol (still can't believe those people drive that to their party house...) AOP racetrack should be interesting too though

Hey man I'm running like a top! Actually.my next truck will be linked for my wife for the exact reason, she not much of a fan with having a bad back although the air bumps have helped.

As for the valving I was curious as I read that they can valve them to act as an air bump. Then again I'm shock stupid so I could be crossing some wires.

Fronts are both in and test drive complete. The difference is astounding...the black magic that goes on in these must be only second to the black magic that happens in an automatic transmission. They flat out work

Taking some stuff apart today and redoing the rear shock mounting for the fourth(?) time since I’ve owned the truck

Yep, moving the shock bar to the top of the frame and using some Barnes behind the axle lower mounts to bring the shocks up and out of the rocks some. Also getting the shocks straight up and down like they are supposed to be. Giving up my completely flat bed deck but it’s worth it

Truck rides wayyyy better than it ever has before. Accutune and Barnes4x4 were both awesome vendors that got me what I needed with helpful advice and shipped quick!

Thanks! I’m super happy with their behind the axle brackets that are double shear and keep the eye perpendicular to the axle

New bed floor is done. 3/4” treated plywood with some aluminum angle for center support. I thought hard about changing things up and adding lockable storage in the bed deck behind the axle but this was $12 so...here we are.

And one bump stop is burned in, just need to knock the other side out this week. Only had these on the shelf for 3 years before I did something with them.

    I’m still a mini-trucker at heart :D

Bump stops are welded in and painted. Limit straps will be here next week and I’m all set.

Naturally right after I got everything back together for a road test, I check my lights and the right rear turn signal isn’t working. Figured that it was a break somewhere in the harness that I had been welding and grinding around through this project. Rip the loom all apart, pop the lights out checking continuity through the harness....and it turns out a relay in the trailer light converter to combine brake lights and turn signals went bad and caused the no turn signal. Super strange, and irritating, coincidence with the rework of the bed.

    Ewps

Would you even need limit straps? My front shocks are way the hell too long and the spring stops unloading way before the shock Max's out. Or is this for when it's taken off some sweet jumps hurled into the air with all 87hp?
