I've got somewhere between 8 and 10k on it without any issues. Just changed the fluid after 1k and it's been perfect with no leaks.

My progress has slowed significantly with the winter weather and the addition of another vehicle to the stable

2000 F250 with an auto 7.3 and 99k on the clock. No rust either! Got a pretty sweet deal on it at $15k. Officially joining the trailer club, I hate putting all the miles on the Tacoma...plus I'll still have my hearing once I get to the wheeling destination. The girlfriend thinks I'm insane for having 3 vehicles though...

Small update because I've been too lazy to work on the Tacoma. Last trip out I ripped the crossmember apart that holds the carrier bearing because of the torque through the traction bar. Fabbed up a new mount for it that should be bomb proof.

Finally put a winch on it too, really want to do Lion's Den at Harlan this year and a winch is a must there. Went for an Engo 9000 with synthetic line.

I don't think I'm going to do lions den when I go in a few weeks. I'm not trying to squeeze between the rock and the tree. I'd probably be fine with the cage though once I get past the fender

The rock and the tree looks like a bitch. When are you going? I'm not that far away if you wanted to meet up sometime.

Mason jar is on the bucket list too

I'm wheeling with @slander and some other Toyota friends in Attica Indiana that weekend. Bummer on the clash. Just holler when you go next time, I'm off every weekend and it's only a 5 hour ride

Its the turn after the tree thats the bitch, it will push you into that rock face and bind and jam evreything up. I watched a zj blow up both driveshafts and a pinion bound up in there.

It's above the quarry at the Badlands, pretty sweet little rock garden actually. Carl rolled down the hill to the left a few years ago if that jogs your memory

Been a little slow at updating this thread lately. Distracted with my other hobbies over the last month.

Race season started and it was time to turn wrenches on the karts. I used to run them nationally but still hit it hard regionally in the Midwest.

    739CC28D-68B8-419B-A708-AE700F35784F_zps_3e6994467cc29b9bbd95f762012f534b35e0c8eb.jpg

Also got a restoration project going on an 88 TriStar that has been in the family since it was new. Basically a brand new boat after its all said and done.

Got a wheeling trip in a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed getting out to camp and relax. I ended up mangling my new traction bar mount when I slammed the truck down on it so it'll have to be cut out and rebuilt with more reinforcement behind the 3/16 plate. Broke my new exhaust in the process of course too. Didn't take many pictures but it was a fun group with 2 mini's, 2 FJ40's, an FJ45LV, FZJ80, and a swapped second gen 4Runner.

I love driving the Tacoma around town but having a full size truck and trailer was great. The peace of mind was awesome and fuel mileage was around 12.5. Cheaper to tow once you factor in the tire wear on 37's.

My friends 92 mini body on an 86 4Runner frame. Awesome little rig that's swapped, dual cased on 35's and weighs in at 2900 lbs.

His son's first gen 4Runner that is getting dual cases and swapped soon.

Right where I smoked the exhaust and traction bar. Right rear was about 4 feet in the air and the gf was blissfully unaware.

Best extraction of the weekend happened in camp!

Bought a an Odyssey 34r battery as my mystery Duralast battery is finally giving up the ghost after 8 years from the mfg date. Really don't want any issues on my week long wheeling vacation in a couple weeks. Also got the AC charged up for summer, even with the doors off it is really nice to have a cool breeze on you

Hi I'm Connor and I have a Toyota problem.

Picked up a parts truck with a strong running 3RZ for $650 today. The motor in my truck has started to give up on life after 350k. Something is eating itself and leaving pretty glitter in the oil pan and making fun noises.

It's total junk but a steal at $650 for a good 3RZ with just 145k. Going to pull the motor and part the rest out

Finally put a new coat of paint on the truck recently. I had wrinkled the extra cab section and when I went to repaint, I realized how yellow the white paint had gotten. So I used Interlux flag blue boat paint. Super impressed with the finish and it was easy to roll on.

I wanna know what the secret is for getting F'n ridiculously good deals on parts and/or vehicles like that. :frusty: Friends/family? Know somebody that knows somebody that knows somebody? Hit the refresh button on the browser window for CL until carpel tunnel sets in?

Major carpel tunnel problems at age of 25 have set in.

I lucked out on the Tacoma big time. Found the ad on Friday night and made the deal Saturday afternoon. Probably came out $6-7k ahead on that one. I sold some bits off the rusty Tacoma so I'm about $350 into a new 3RZ. Guy was asking $1k on Craigslist and I was ready to pay that and he immediately offered to take $650...sold!

New motor is in and it runs so much better than my 350k unit. 20 lbs of oil pressure at idle and I actually have passing power now. It's funny how normalized you get to what is in your truck until you put something else in. Next step is thinking about collecting some turbo parts...
