I'm thinking I want the sportsman package as I would like the ability to do a RTT, though I am not sure I will ever go that way. Seems an easy upgrade for the price though, like $150 on a $3000 item so I can't see why not.

Do you find it gets hot at all back there? Not sure how well the small windows ventilate the canopy, though that might be more of a summer issue. I want to be able to transport wet things back there but still have it venter. Do you find condensation in there at all?

Is it possible to have the windows open in the rain without getting water in?

Thanks for all your info, it's really helping me make an informed decision.

It gets condensation all the time, but goes away when it dries out. It's a truck and not a 4runner. I park in my garage so it dries a lot faster. Park in the shade with windows open and have never had problems with my dogs. I have a little fan that i plug into usb ports to circulate air for them.
