Which one do you like better? Is the XV worth the extra $500?

    Nighthawk,
I have the XV and it's really nice. Carpeted Headliner. Fold Down rear window (for cleaning) - Yakima roof rack system and really nice sliding windows for ventilation. I got extremelly lucky and bought mine , already colormatched for 800.00. I think they run around 2300.00 new...

I say if you're going to buy one shell and have the truck for a loooooong time, then yes 500.00 is not a great deal of $$.

I have snugtop shells for 15 years (3 different tacomas). Quality is the best you will find.

My bad I just look up snugtop and saw a hard shell tonneau, if I can have a second change, XV is sweet

I'm pretty sure I have the XV, I bought it used, mainly for the dogs. I then took out the screen windows and screwed in some plastic mesh so I don't have to worry about them poking through.

I'm surprised ore that most have the XV when the rebel is practically the same for less money. The biggest difference is the side windows are larger. Both have a screen but the rebel is fixed and the XV slides. I like the looks of the XV better but I'm just not sure if I like it $500 better.

I've got the Rebel and it has the same features as the XV listed above, minus the Yakima roof rack. It was $1495 installed out the door and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Went to the SnugTop dealer today and checked out the Rebel and the XV. I personally like the XV better, but like you not sure I like it enough for the cost difference.

The XV is the same as the Rebel except the larger windows and the latching mechanisms are the same as the Super Sport on the XV. Apparently the screens slide as well?

Let us know what you decide, I'm pretty much leaning toward the Rebel, since I am getting roof racks installed and $2K is enough for me to spend on a canopy, can't see spending closer to $3K. . .

    Good Luck!

Thinking of getting a Rebel for my Magnetic Gray 2012 Sport with DCLB... It looks like it fits the lines pretty well. ASH, where did you find it 1495 OTD? Found one for 1508 plus tax/install

If you have a dog, will use the roof for heavier loads and prefer insulation plus better hardware, XV all the way. Here's mine:

Since thats not a Tacoma, its pretty likely they never made that exact shell for a Tacoma. Since that truck is also 20 years old, there is a chance that company isnt even in business if that photo is from when that truck was new.
