    All,

I've seen a lot of XTR tops in my search to make a clean roof rack for my bikes and thule box. But I've only seen conduit clamps employed to fasten them. Not my ideal build components, but plenty functional. One other roof rack somewhere on TacoWorld was found that was real clean, but I couldn't see the clamps very well, but they are a split clamp.

I just found these and got them in today. They fit the tubes perfectly with no need for spacers, which they do come with plenty of to fit down to 1-1/2" tubing.

I am fitting my rack with Thule bars and need to go from the supplied 2-1/2" bolts to 3" or 3-1/2" bolts. They are 3/8 coarse threads. Haven't found any at HD or Lowe's yet as they don't carry the same button heads that long. Off to Ace Hardware tomorrow to see if I can get the same button head style stainless bolts.

Sorry, no pics on the rig yet, still a work in progress and I ran out of time today and had to head into work. It's about 50% fabricated which only involves drilling holes through the thule bars for the bolts, then it's just putting the jigsaw puzzle together.
